Meet Youth Pastor Brittany Vandross-Harriot
Youth Pastor Brittany Angel Vandross-Harriot, the daughter of Apostle Dr. Robert A. and Dr. Priscilla G. Vandross, was born on February 17, 1987. Growing up, Brittany liked to sing and has been singing since the tender age of 5. Her parents have always been supportive of the gifts God planted in Brittany and her siblings. Brittany and her sister Jessica first began making appearances to sing at Emanuel Baptist Church, where their father was the pastor. Their mother would accompany them when they stood before the congregation to sing to make sure “Brittany didn’t cry." Brittany and Jessica performed duets together, displaying their gifts and talents in writing and composing music. Brittany now enjoys singing with her sisters Jessica and D’ona when they’re asked to sing!
As Brittany grew older, she was always known as the child with seeing eyes. At an early age, God would speak to her, and reveal things to her in the spirit realm about His people, and the church; which she didn’t always understand. As she matured in the faith, Brittany came up against numerous attacks from the enemy. Through her prayers, and the guidance of her parents, God taught Brittany how to fight the forces of hell.

At the age of 21, Brittany accepted the calling that was on her life. She knew that she would soon follow in the footsteps of her father, her mother, and her brother; Minister Dion Glenn. Although Brittany received several prophecies that she would preach the gospel, she waited to hear the voice of God for herself. Brittany is an anointed young lady who loves God with all of her heart. She is very supportive of her parents, as she accompanies them both in revivals, speaking engagements, etc. She’s one who is dedicated and sold out to ministry. Brittany is currently the Praise and Worship Leader for Word In Life Outreach, as well as the organizer and leader of Word In Life’s praise team; Real Praise. In May 2011, she along with Min. Omar Gorham accepted the title and duties of Youth Pastor of Word In Life. Today, Youth Pastor Brittany Vandross-Harriot says, “I will do all what God has instructed me to do. The road has been rough, and things have been very tough for me, but I didn't let the storms of life take me out. Now, I can say, 'Let the devil be a liar and my God be true!!”
