Elder Brittany Vandross-Harriot was born on February 17, 1987, to Apostle Dr. Robert A. Vandross and Dr. Priscilla Vandross. From a young age, Elder Brittany displayed a deep passion for music, beginning her singing ministry at the age of five. Supported by her loving parents, she often stood beside them at the forefront of the church. Alongside her sisters Jessica and D’ona, she ministered through music by performing anointed duets and original compositions. Over the years, she has faithfully served in various leadership capacities, including Praise and Worship Leader, Choir Director, Youth Pastor, and most recently, as Elder and Executive Pastor at Word in Life Outreach Ministries, serving alongside her father, the church’s Founder and Senior Pastor, Apostle Dr. Robert A. Vandross.

A Life of Purpose and Family

Elder Brittany continues to find great joy in worship and in singing with her sisters whenever called upon to minister. Beyond her service in ministry, she is also a professional in the legal field and is currently pursuing her goal of becoming an attorney and future judge. She is passionate about using her gifts to not only advance in her career but also to edify the Body of Christ. In addition to her professional and ministerial work, she treasures her role as a wife to her loving husband, DeQuante Harriot, whom she married in October 2016, and as a devoted mother to their three beautiful children: Brayden, Bryleigh, and Brielle. Their love and unwavering support continue to enrich her life and strengthen her calling.

A Calling from God

​

From a young age, Brittany was recognized for her unique spiritual discernment, often described as having “seeing eyes.” Even in her youth, she received prophetic insight and divine revelations concerning God’s people and His church. As she matured, her relationship with God deepened, and she became a committed vessel devoted to the will and work of the Lord. At the age of 21, she accepted the call to ministry, affirming the prophetic words spoken over her life through her parents and other spiritual leaders. Before fully stepping into her role, Elder Brittany sought confirmation and clarity from God, desiring to walk in obedience to His timing. Today, she is a bold, compassionate, and humble servant leader, ministering gracefully and excellently under God’s divine direction.

Honoring Her Brother, Elder Dion Vandross

The life and legacy of her late brother, Elder Dion Vandross, remain a powerful source of inspiration for Elder Brittany. His passion for ministry and unwavering commitment to the work of the Lord left an indelible impact on her life. He was her greatest supporter and spiritual confidant. Although they were destined to lead together, God had a different plan. She carries his memory with honor and uses his strength as motivation to continue the work they once envisioned doing side by side. Elder Brittany has drawn even closer to God through grief and growth, embracing her assignment with renewed purpose and unshakable faith.
